In-person child / adolescent therapy
I offer one-to-one therapy for children and adolescents at the Mill Hill Therapy Hub using art and play to help them manage and overcome whatever they are going through.
Have you been worried about your child’s mood lately?
Have they had a sad, scary or traumatic experience that seems to be stopping them enjoying themselves?
Have they been anxious about school, bedtime, the loss of a loved one or a big recent change at home?
Has their behaviour become unmanageable and left you wondering how to help them calm down or explain what is making them unhappy or angry?
One-to-one child therapy at the Mill Hill Therapy Hub on Hale Drive may help your child and your family as a unit.

FAQS
1. I’m worried about my child. What are the first steps?
The usual process is to email me or fill in my contact form with a brief summary of the issue and then book an introductory phone call between you and me (usually 30 minutes or sometimes 60 minutes) on my Calendly with a view to booking in an in-person 50-minute session for your child with me at the Mill Hill Therapy Hub if we feel it is a good fit.
2. How does therapy benefit children?
Therapy provides a new safe place for children to explore their feelings with a professional who can listen with empathy, find meaning and search for practical solutions. It adds fun and something to look forward to for children going through a difficult time. It also helps children feel supported by another sensible and caring adult so that they know they don’t have to solve their problems by themselves. I am also able to advocate for my clients in school, medical and home settings.
3. How long are sessions?
4. When do you have sessions?
5. Are parents/caregivers allowed to attend sessions?
6. How many sessions does my child need?
7. What should I say to my child before the first session?
8. Do you collaborate with other practitioners as part of a holistic programme and do you offer ADHD/autism assessments?
9. My child’s issue isn’t one of your specialist areas. Should I still get in touch?
10. May I pay for sessions using my health insurance provider?
